A Few Audi A5 Cabriolet Facts

Both the Audi A5 and the S5 Cabriolet production began in the beginning of 2009. The A5 Cabriolet included a fabric roof as opposed to a retractable hardtop as on the Volkswagen Eos. The engine ranges are same as contemporary A5 coupé models, but S5 Cabriolet came with a 3.0 TFSI V6 supercharged engine.
The A5 Cabriolet replaced the A4 Cabriolet. Delivery of A5 Cabriolet began in the second quarter of 2009. The vehicle was unveiled in 2009 New York Auto Show.

A Brief History of Audi

The very first Audi, the Audi Type A Sport-Phaeton, was manufactured in the German city of Zwickau in 1910. Audi was initially founded by August Horch, who came up with the name for Audi by translating his name into Latin, which means “listen”. The Audi logo’s four rings symbolise the four previously independent motor companies – Audi, DWK, Horch and Wanderer – that merged in 1932, to create what is now known as Audi AG.

Reviews

“She's my dream car”

My much awaited A5 Cabriolet arrived about 4 weeks ago now and I've done about 1500 miles in her so far and she's my dream car. I am very pleased with the way this car makes you feel very special. The 2.0 TFSI is a dream engine, smooth, progressive with a good amount of power to get you out of trouble and very good economy. The interior is so much better than my previous BMW's and Mercedes. A good all round 4 seater convertible. — Tina Lourdes, Chepstow

“A stunning car”

Well what can I say, just coming up to 2 years of ownership of this car. It is still a stunning car. Power, performance, comfort and looks, I still like just looking at the car as much as I enjoy driving it. Personally I think for the price you would find it hard to beat. I truly believe I would have to spend a lot more than the £37,500 I paid to get a car that looks, drives and feels as good as this. — Will Guest, Devizes

“An absolute joy to drive”

I’ve just had the pleasure of driving one of these for a week and I have to say ’what a car’! This is a real bad boy and will definitely give BMW a run for their money. An absolute joy to drive. Was I sad to give the car back? I nearly cried!! The down side? I can't afford one just yet. — Gary Pethers, Dunmow
