The Opel Combo is a panel van and leisure activity vehicle from the German car maker Opel. The Combo first appeared in 1986 and the second generation model was introduced in 2001 to 2011. The second generation was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2001 and is based on the Opel Corsa platform.
Commercial van versions retained the symmetrical twin rear doors, while the Tour versions have an option of a single tailgate.

A Brief History Of Opel

In 1862 and after years of employment as a journeyman metalworker, Adam Opel goes into business in his hometown of Rüsselsheim where he builds his first sewing machine. In 1899 Opel makes its international motor sport début. In 1929 General Motors acquires 80 percent of shares in Adam Opel AG for just under 26 million dollars.
In 1944 allied bombs destroy half of the Rüsselsheim plant and the Brandenburg plant is almost completely destroyed. In 1971 the ten-millionth Opel rolls off the assembly line in the Rüsselsheim plant. The Opel Group GmbH was established effective July 1, 2014 as a sister company of Adam Opel AG. This new company is responsible for Opel/Vauxhall as well as all GM operations in Europe.
