The new BMW Mini was introduced in late 2000, the same year production of the old original Mini ceased and is produced at the Cowley plant in Oxford. The sportier "Cooper" version is powered by a 1.6 Tritec engine driving the front wheels. All four wheels are pushed to the corners of the car to give its unique handling.
The Mini won the North American Car of the Year award in 2003 and to date almost 3,000,000 New Mini's have been sold worldwide with ever increasing demand.
The first Mini was launched by the British Motor Corporation in 1959. The model, which was originally known as the Morris 850, swiftly became an icon and was very much a cult-purchase in the 1960s, appearing in a number of classic films. The economic, space-saving design meant that 80 percent of the car could be used to carry passengers and luggage. The model is perhaps the British equivalent of the classic Volkswagen Beetle. More recently, the car has been redesigned by BMW in a model that is just as popular as the original.

You can’t help falling in love with this car. Classic British good looks and a very sporty sounding engine. This car is perfect for zipping around town in style. Very nice to drive and good support from the drivers seat make longer journeys more than comfortable. It'll be a very sad when when i have to change her, but it will definitely be another Mini. — Andrew Taylor, Cheltenham
Here is a proper classic car. I mean hey it may not be the most spacious of cars but they are awesome to drive. They are ultra reliable, fantastic handling, and most of all loads of fun to drive. It oozes style and most of all you have piece of history. — Lawrence Cohen, Bexley
I've had my Mini One for 18 months now and still love it as much as the day I bought it. It’s stylish, great fun to drive and not bad on fuel if you keep the speed down to a decent. If you’re hesitating on whether or not to buy one, just do it - you will not regret it for a minute. — Andrea Walker, Shirley
