The Range Rover Sport mid-size luxury 4x4 is produced in the United Kingdom by Jaguar Land Rover. The first generation Range Rover Sport went into production in 2005, and was replaced by the second generation Sport in 2013.
The 3.6-litre twin turbo-diesel TDV8 engine made its debut in 2007. This engine is an adaptation of the TDV6 but features a 90 degree block (as opposed to a 60 degree layout), twin variable geometry turbochargers and inlet valve deactivation. All engine variants are mated to an adaptive six-speed ZF automatic transmission with Command-shift which reacts and adapts to varying driving styles.
