The Audi A5 Sportback has four frameless doors and a long, tapering roofline, giving it a "coupé-like" appearance. While it shares many exterior lines with the A5 coupé, the Sportback's interior is similar to the Audi A4.
The Sportback model became available in 2009 and is available in Europe, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Middle East, Mexico, and South Africa. It is not sold in the United States and Canada.

A Brief History of Audi

The very first Audi, the Audi Type A Sport-Phaeton, was manufactured in the German city of Zwickau in 1910. Audi was initially founded by August Horch, who came up with the name for Audi by translating his name into Latin, which means “listen”.
